Toxicology: Acute oral LD₅₀ (rat) is 1780 mg/kg, acute dermal LD₅₀/rabbit is more than 2150 mg/kg.

Application: Atrazine is aselective triazine herbicide used to control broadleaf and grassy weedsin corn, sorghum, sugarcane, pineapple, christmas trees, and othercrops, and in conifer reforestation plantings. It is also used as anonselective herbicide on non-cropped industrial lands and on fallowlands.
